  • 01 Consultation and Site Analysis

    We begin by meeting with you to understand your goals, vision, budget, and timeline.

    A South Florida native Nicolae Popescu has been practicing architecture for the last 15 years. He received his Bachelors of Architecture from University of Miami. Licensed Architect, Interior Designer, and General Contractor, who holds an NCARB certificate with approved reciprocity in over 20 states. 

    He has completed large scale diverse projects all over the world including High End Residential, Mixed Use, Commercial, Hospitality, and Medical.

    He developed and implemented new social housing strategies in Haiti after the earthquake in 2010, where he set out to create affordable, sustainable, social housing for those in need. His approach of combining the inherent properties of widely available affordable construction materials helped in creating a cheap blast and ballistic panel capable of withstanding impact from 180mph winds that were later used in government buildings such as the courthouse in Tallahassee, Miami International Airport, Fort Polk Army Base, and outposts for Border Patrol for the Department of Homeland Security.

    On the commercial side of the spectrum, he has spent the last 10 years helping to design and build medical centers throughout the State with the largest federally funded medical operator, to help bring medical services to low-income areas that need it the most. The facilities include the services that are most overlooked and difficult to obtain in these socio-economic areas such as Dental, Mental Health, OBGYN, and a Children’s Crisis Center in partnership with Dade County.

    In 2012 he was one of the first local architects to focus on and bring awareness for the need for Work Force Housing. This largely unknown concept at the time just recently started becoming a main focus point for all municipalities across the state. While bringing awareness to the need for affordable housing he continued to design and build high end residential projects in West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale, Plantation, Aventura, Sunny Isles, and the Miami area. He offers turnkey services from Desing, to construction, and interiors. He holds direct licensing agreements with Ballerina Kutchen, a high-end custom cabinetry factory in Germany, being able to provide custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, media centers, home offices, etc. He offers furniture selection, art procurement, fixtures, and appliances to residential clients, offering a true design build, turn key, residential package. 

    His extensive work with multiple municipalities and building departments has created a network of contacts to help him in efficiently handling violation remediation for clients to help ensure the life safety of occupants, adherence to code standards, as well as regaining your freedom from the overwhelming burden of daily fines.

    Born and raised in Belarus, Mikalai developed a deep connection to construction from an early age, building a strong foundation in the trade before relocating to South Florida. Drawing on his European background in construction methods and design sensibilities, he quickly adapted to Florida’s fast-paced building environment.

    He began his career in the U.S. specializing in the installation of interior doors, cabinetry, and closets, where his precision and attention to detail distinguished him as a trusted craftsman. As his reputation grew, he transitioned into larger scopes of work, moving from specialty installations to full residential projects. In 2023, Mikalai became a licensed Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida, launching a practice dedicated to delivering luxury residential construction at the highest standard.

    Since then, he has built a reputation for transforming complex residential visions into reality, combining technical expertise with an artistic eye for detail. His approach bridges the worlds of design and construction, ensuring seamless coordination from concept through completion. By collaborating closely with architects, interior designers, and skilled trades, Mikalai delivers projects that are not only structurally sound but also tailored to reflect each client’s lifestyle and taste.

    Mikalai is known for his commitment to quality, efficiency, and client experience. His European roots influence his appreciation for craftsmanship, while his Florida experience has honed his ability to deliver projects under demanding timelines. He continues to expand his portfolio of high-end residences and design-build projects in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and beyond.
